These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DualSubs, available at dualsubs.online. By using the website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Service Description

DualSubs provides an online subtitle service including, but not limited to: merging subtitle tracks, subtitle synchronization, format conversion, and translation of SRT files with preserved timecodes. The service provides free access with limited functionality, as well as paid options, including one-time purchases and subscriptions that provide access to expanded quotas. The service operates under a SaaS (Software as a Service) model.

3. Registration and Account

To access paid features and expanded quotas, you must complete registration. You are responsible for the confidentiality and security of your credentials, as well as for all actions performed under your account, including but not limited to authentication, operations, and payments.

4. Pricing and Payment

Current pricing, as well as one-time purchase and subscription terms, are available on the Pricing page. Prices are shown in United States dollars (USD), unless otherwise stated, and may include applicable taxes depending on the buyer's location.

Orders are processed through our authorized Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all orders placed through DualSubs. Paddle.com issues invoices and receipts and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable sales taxes and VAT where required by law. By accepting payment terms, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights to the code, design, trademarks, and content related to DualSubs are the exclusive property of the operator. Subtitle files uploaded by users remain the intellectual property of users. The service does not claim rights to user-provided content and does not use it without the explicit consent of the owner.

6. Usage Restrictions

You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, not to bypass technical limits or quotas, not to make automated requests without permission, and not to infringe the rights of third parties. Any actions that violate the law or these Terms may result in suspension or termination of access to the service.

7. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is." The operator provides no warranties regarding continuity, security, availability, or functionality of the service. The operator is not liable for any indirect damages, lost profits, or loss of data arising from use of the service, except where required by applicable law.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Georgia, and you agree to the jurisdiction of Georgian courts for resolving such disputes.

9. Changes

The operator reserves the right to amend, update, or modify these Terms at any time. The official and current version of the Terms is always available on this page. Your continued use of the service after changes to the Terms means your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how DualSubs (dualsubs.online) collects, uses, and protects personal data of users.

1. Data We Collect

  • Account data: username and email address during registration or Google sign-in.
  • Technical data: IP address (stored as a hash), cookies, browser language and timezone, screen resolution, CPU core count, platform, and touch points — collected as an anonymous browser fingerprint solely for fraud and abuse prevention.
  • Usage data: service usage statistics and translation quotas.
  • Payment data: transaction details (order ID, plan, date). DualSubs does not process card details — these are transmitted directly to Paddle.com.

2. Purposes of Processing

  • Providing service functionality and account management.
  • Fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and unauthorized access protection.
  • Payment and refund processing.
  • Analytics and service improvement.
  • Compliance with applicable law.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Authentication.
  • Saving language preferences.
  • CSRF protection.
  • Analytics (Yandex Metrica).

You can manage cookies through your browser settings, but this may limit access to certain service features.

4. Sharing Data with Third Parties

  • Paddle.com — payment processing. Orders are processed by Paddle as our online reseller; Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. Payment and billing data entered at checkout is collected and processed by Paddle in accordance with Paddle's Privacy Policy. We receive limited transaction data (for example order ID, product or plan, amount, and status) as necessary to provide the service and support your account.
  • Google LLC — authentication via Google OAuth.
  • Yandex — analytics (Yandex Metrica).
  • DeepL GmbH — subtitle translation through the DeepL API. Uploaded texts are processed by DeepL in accordance with DeepL's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. GDPR — Rights of Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access your data, correct or delete it, restrict processing, data portability, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@dualsubs.online. You may also file a complaint with the competent data protection authority in your country.

6. Security and Retention

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the security of your data. Data is stored on secured servers, IP addresses are stored in hashed form and do not allow personal identification. We apply technical and organizational data protection measures. Data is retained no longer than necessary for processing purposes.

The operator reserves the right to amend or update this Privacy Policy at any time. The current version is always available on this page. Your continued use of the service after changes to the Privacy Policy means your acceptance of the updated terms.

Refund Policy

1. General Conditions

This Policy applies to paid plans, one-time purchases, and subscriptions purchased on dualsubs.online. Payments are processed through Paddle.com, our online reseller and Merchant of Record for all orders. Approved refunds are processed through Paddle.

2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for all digital products and subscriptions. If more than 14 days have passed since purchase, we cannot provide a refund or exchange.

3. Right to Refund

You can request a refund within 14 days from the purchase date.

For subscriptions, a refund request can be submitted within 14 days from the charge date for the corresponding period. You may cancel a subscription at any time, while access remains available until the end of the paid period.

4. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund, send an email to contact@dualsubs.online and include your order number and the reason for the request.

5. Refund Processing

After confirmation, the refund is processed through Paddle.com and automatically credited back to the original payment method. Processing may take 5-10 business days.
